Pro Tips

  • Tour Pass balance expires after 90 days — plan your spending accordingly
  • Tour Pass has a ¥2000 single recharge limit and ¥5000 total balance limit
  • Some merchants only show Chinese — screenshot their QR code if needed
  • Alipay and WeChat Pay are NOT interchangeable — some shops prefer one over the other
  • Always keep some cash as backup — rural areas may not accept mobile payments
  • The exchange rate for Tour Pass is competitive but check before large top-ups
  • Enable "payment password" for security — fingerprint/face ID recommended
  • Alipay's "Translate" feature in mini programs helps read Chinese menus
